Republicans have solid majorities in both chambers. 

House = 52 Democrats & 67 Republicans, (32 are women)

Senate = 20 Democrats & 30 Republicans (6 are women)

Tracking Bills

To follow a bill, search it by number on the website. That page will include links to all versions of the bill, plus information about it's sponsors and procedural history.

 

Who Represents Me

Click the "Representation" link along the top of the website to find out.

You can contact your representative through email messages, telephone, or snail mail.  They are listed for each Senator and Representative.  Or you can call the main switchboard 919 733-7928 and ask for your legislators office.

You can listen to the House and Senate LIVE by clicking on their representative audio buttons.  This is a treat which shouldn't be missed.  Better yet, SEE it live if you can.  Visit the Legislative Building at 16 West Jones Street in Raleigh if you are there during session.

Committee meetings are open to anyone, and each of the chambers has a public viewing gallery.  You are not allowed on either of the chamber floors.
