Welcome

NC Coalition for Adoption Reform

"This is, in fact the 21st century and I believe it is time to add maturity to this 20th century legislation"

[NC General Statute Chapter 48 - Adoptions] by L. Gibowski

Many may not have approved of the legislation NCCAR and its members pushed through the NC legislature last year.  However this page will be dedicated to those it helped in fulfilling their dreams and making them come true.  For those who found a deceased family member we will also start a memorial wall for them.  Please send us pictures of your reunion and a short blurb for us to put with it.  Thanks from NCCAR. Reunions

FIRST Reunion through Catholic Social Services in Charlotte

Marysia and Birthson Michael

This is truly an emotional time for us and we are just trying to keep our feet on the ground and our heads out of the clouds for the moment."

From

Sarah Dalley

After 10 years of searching, my brother was able to reunite with his birthmother on April 19, 2008!  This would not have happen as it did if the new CI law had not gone into effect on January 1, 2008.  Having this happen to some one so close and being an adoptee myself, I am so proud of the work that was done to open such a wonderful door to the rest of us looking for our own reunion! Thank you!

*My brother is Michael that you have with reunion pictures on your site!
